About Us

Our son Anthony was born premature at 24.5 weeks May 7th, 2020. We stayed in the NICU for 4 months. Reading helped us bond with Anthony when we couldn’t hold him. To give back we donate baby books & gift cards to the families staying in the NICU’s & Specialty Care Units throughout New England. We want to help families during a difficult time in their life.

Mission & Vision

Warrior Family Books for NICU is a-Nonprofit 501C(3) EIN 33-3468910. My wife Adrianna and I (Joe Costanzo) are proud parents of Anthony Costanzo who was born a Micro Preemie. Now he is 5 years old and healthy. Reading helped us be closer to Anthony and today he loves reading the same books we bonded over in the hospital.

With wires and tubes its hard for families to hold their baby whenever they want while in the NICU. Anytime a parent or siblings wants some special bonding time they can pick up a book to read to the newborn. Along with the benefit of bonding, hearing voices of loved one helps a baby’s brain develop. Reading is a great way to offer this brain stimulation. The Warrior Family Books For NICU gives parents the opportunity to read favorite childhood books to provide these benefits. Our hope is to expand our services to more hospitals with families in the NICU or Specialty Care Unit. There are more medical centers in Boston, South Shore and Rhode Island we’d like to donate books. Thank you all for the love & support of our cause.
